Configuring Mail.app

This article describes how to securely connect to Denetron's mail servers using Apple's Mail.app

To configure Mail.app follow these steps:

  1. Launch Mail.app

  2. If you have not used Mail.app before, you may be prompted with the Email Accounts wizard.

    If so, please skip to step 5.
  3. Open the Mail.app preferences

  4. Select the Accounts Pane and then click the "+" to add a new account.

  5. Select Account Type as IMAP, enter an Account Description, enter your Full Name, and the Email Address for the account you are adding.

  6. Set the Incoming Mail Server to mail.denetron.com, for your User Name enter your full Email Address, and enter your Password.

  7. Set the Outgoing Mail Server to mail.denetron.com, check Use Authentication, and enter your full email address for your User Name, and lastly, enter your Password.

  8. Finally, you should be prompted with an Account Summary screen that looks as follows:

    Denetron supports SSL encryption on all of it's mail services, if your Account Summary screen does not show SSL: on, please contact us. After you have double checked all settings and verified them for correctness, press continue.
  9. You will now have a new mail box in Mail.app for this account to check your mail.
